Cleaning Tips To Make Your Home Look Like It Was Professionally Cleaned

Does your house feel like cluttered mess? Like no matter how much you clean your house, it still doesn't feel or even look clean? You can call in a professional cleaning service, but what if this just isn't in your budget right now? You can make your home look like it was professionally cleaned by following the tips below.

Make A List

At the beginning of each week, make a list of what you want to have cleaned for that week. Getting a bit more organized with your cleaning and keeping a schedule will help to keep you on track. A professional cleaning company has a list of what needs to be cleaned, so why not you? Keep your list simple by taking it a few rooms at a time to clean each week, such as the bedrooms and bathrooms one week, the kitchen, living and dining areas another week, and so on.

Declutter Each Day

Decluttering is something that should be done each and every day. It shouldn't take long to declutter, only about ten minutes. Get rid of clutter on your countertops, tables, and clutter in your living rooms. You can do this job in the morning and again in the evening (if need be). Getting rid of clutter will help make your home feel a little cleaner and definitely more organized.

Keep Up With Daily Chores

Keep up with daily chores such as cleaning and putting away dirty dishes, keeping up with laundry (so it's not piled up), fluffing pillows and folding throw blankets in your living room and wiping down surfaces in your kitchen after eating will all help keep your home looking clean.

Deep Cleaning Tips

  • Bathrooms. Use a vinegar and water soaked rag to help remove hard water stains on your faucet or shower head. Simply place the rag on the hard water stain for ten minutes and wipe it away. Wipe down the countertop, mirror, light fixtures, then move to the toilet and finally the shower/tub using the bathroom cleaner of your choice and a rag and a soft scrub brush.
  • Kitchen. To clean the microwave quickly, place a cup of water in the microwave and turn it on for a minute or two. Allow the steam in your microwave to help you clean it up quickly and without any cleaning chemicals. Sprinkle baking soda on your stove top and wipe it clean with a wet rag to give your stove a sparkling shine. You can also use baking soda to clean up a stainless steel sink.
  • Around The House. To keep your baseboards looking clean, use dryer sheets to remove dust. You can use a vinegar soaked sock on your hand to remove dust from your blinds.

Keeping up with the daily chores around your home and getting rid of clutter will help make your home look and feel like it was professionally cleaned. Be sure to keep a detailed list of what needs to be cleaned and follow your cleaning list.
